Resolution Photomatching was founded by John Robinson on July 8, 2016.

John first became a part of the game used hobby as a teenager when he started collecting Seattle Mariners game used bats. Not long after ordering his first bat, in 2008 John made his first photomatch to a Russ Davis Louisville Slugger, and he started making matches for friends in the hobby soon after. Since that time he has made hundreds of photomatches for top auction houses, professional teams, and individual collectors, and has gained valuable experience in the craft and a high level of respect in the industry.

John created Resolution Photomatching to be a modern game used memorabilia authentication company, that allows collectors to see for themselves that their items are authentic.
